Although the golf GPS is a relatively new addition to the world of golf, they have been getting a reputation for helping golfers improve their game. This would actually be strange if all the golf GPS did was give you the coordinates of where you are on the golf course, but most golf GPSs actually do much more.

As an example the Callaway uPro golf GPS helps you predict the next shot you should make, and let you see what the next holes look like before you actually even get to them. The Golf Buddy Pro GPS actually comes loaded with 20,000 current golf courses already installed and it updates the course and the hole you’re playing. Most of these units come with the rangefinder to let you know the length of the shots you need to make, and lets you know where all the hazards are.
And of course anywhere you find a GPS unit, you’ll find one made by Garmin since they make GPSs for just about everything under the sun. And golf is no exception Garmin makes the Approach and the GolfLogix, which both have a good reputation. In other posts we will be reviewing them both. Many of Garmin’s models will even give you the tree line of the course.

A Golf GPS is a Bit Like Having a Good Caddie In Your Pocket
For years many golfers have attributed their success on the course to a great caddie who would give them good advice as to the intricacies of each hole. Many of the golf GPSs have attempted to duplicate this function. Now you might try them all and decide which one achieved this the best, but that might be expensive and a bit impractical. It would be far better to read our golf GPS reviews and see what others have said about their experience with the various models and narrow it down to just two or three that you might want to try.
